LINES and SHAPES
Black and white photography for me often turns into a kind of graphic game. During which I convey the interactions of light and shadow, textures, shapes, and sometimes just lines. The exhibition presents black and white photographs of a series of photographs taken over a period of about 10 years and united by one theme - graphicity.
For me, photography is a way to convey my delight at the moment that suddenly formed in space. When ordinary objects or even shadows from objects suddenly begin to sound special. Some kind of visual harmony appears in the simplicity of ordinary things, or vice versa in the complexity of lines and forms. Bare branches begin to be graphic bizarre lines, grass in the snow seems to come out from under the brushes of an invisible calligrapher, shadows from buildings form new geometric shapes, and people and objects seem to occupy the necessary points in space, and it begins to sound somehow especially aesthetically pleasing. And then an irresistible desire appears - to press a button on something that can quickly capture the moment: this phone or camera becomes unimportant. The main thing is the moment is caught, and you can share it with others, convey this feeling of visual satisfaction and beauty.
