Personal exhibition
“Work of the Soull”

The photography project “The Soul’s Work” explores people who have devoted themselves to a single path in life. It brings together photographic stories of eight individuals from different professions: a weaving master, an artist, a teacher, a photographer, a scientist, a musician, a film director, and a master cabinetmaker. Each of them allowed the author of the project to observe them for a while, to listen to what happens during their work, to look into their eyes, and to try to understand them.

In these photographs, the subjects can be seen at work — in the process of creating, researching, or interacting with other people. These photographic works represent not only faces and actions, but also the atmosphere created by these individuals.
Each participant in the photography project is accompanied by a QR code in their description. By following it, viewers can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the subject’s world — whether it is musical compositions, children’s voices, or the sound of a weaving loom…
“The work my project’s subjects are engaged in ceases to be routine; it becomes inspiration and a powerful process that sometimes generates significant events around itself,” — Nadya Sedova.

A large number of visitors attended the exhibition, including the participants of the photography project. They expressed their gratitude to the author for the opportunity to see themselves from a different perspective.

A special gift for the guests of the exhibition was a performance by one of the project’s participants, Denis Ustyuzhanin. The frontman of the Moscow band “Seredina” performed several original songs.
